Everything worth booking in Porto and the Douro, in one place. For each one: what it costs, how long it takes, what it is rated and how many reviews are behind that rating, which is the part most listings leave out and the only one that tells you how much the score is worth.
Nobody here has taken any of these tours. This is not a set of reviews and it does not tell you what the guide was like. It orders verifiable figures from the operator and says what the numbers show. Where a cheap option is also a badly rated one, it says that too.
Every card shows the date its price was last read. That is deliberate: this page used to carry one date for all of its listings, which stops being true the moment a new one is added without rechecking the rest.
Every tour on this page is linked from one of the guides on this site, and every guide on this site with something bookable behind it appears here. The one deliberate exception is the best time to visit, which has nothing to book because choosing a month is not choosing a product.
That audit also caught something worth stating plainly. The booking platform quotes US dollars unless euros are asked for, a difference of about 17 per cent, and for a few hours this site had dollar figures published with a EUR label on them. Thirteen listings were re read in euros on 22 September, the nine new ones and the four already here that the audit touched, and not one of the prices already published had actually changed. The rest still carry their own earlier date, which is exactly what those dates are for: this page would rather show you a price from three days ago and say so than imply a freshness it has not earned.
Day trips out of the city
The ten destinations measured on road distance, driving time and what share of the day goes on travelling are in the guide to day trips from Porto. The short version: Braga and Guimaraes spends 16 per cent of the day on the road and Santiago de Compostela 54.
All nine day trips covered in that guide are here, including the Santiago and Viana do Castelo combination, which carries 25 reviews against 1,093 for the standard Santiago trip. It used to be left off this page on the grounds that listing it without the caveat would be worse than omitting it. That was the wrong call: a catalogue that quietly drops the options it is lukewarm about is editing the shelf rather than describing it. It is here, with the caveat written into its own line.

A price is only as good as the day it was read, so each card says which day that was. Most were rechecked on 1 October 2026; two carry an earlier date because they did not come back in that round, and rather than quietly stamp them with today they keep the date they actually have.
Three days is a short window and nothing moved in it. Over longer periods it does: a sister site of ours measured price changes on 31 per cent of its listings across three weeks, including one that doubled. So treat any card with an older date as a figure to confirm on the operator's page before booking, which you would be doing anyway.
How to read the ratings on this page
A rating is only worth the number behind it. On this page the highest score is a 5.0 from eleven reviews, and the strongest evidence is a 4.87 from 19,603. Those are not the same claim and they should not be read the same way.
Roughly: under about fifty reviews a score tells you very little, because a handful of friendly early customers moves it whole tenths. Over about five hundred it is hard to fake and hard to fluke. When a cheap option carries a low rating on a decent number of reviews, that is the most reliable signal on the page, and there are two of those here: the 14.65 EUR transfer at 3.14 from seven reviews, which is thin, and the 20 EUR tourist train at 3.1 from 129, which is not.
